The Puerto Rico Federation FEBOPRI, member of the Latin American and Caribbean Bonsai Federation FELAB, entity that represents our region before the World Bonsai Friendship Federation WBFF; feels especially honored upon having been chosen as the organizer of the next World Convention, in it’s sixth edition.

This event will be held on our beautiful capital city, San Juan form the 7th to the 13th of July 2009. The convention will include the participation of the most noticeable teachers of Bonsai from all the regions that conform the WBFF. This will be the first time the event will be known as the Bonsai Olympics.

We expect delegations from more than 35 countries. All participants will be able to share and to learn from the diversity and the coincidences and to achieve through the universal language of the Bonsai Art the desired peace and friendship that may tie us together. Becoming true Saburo Kato’s main wish: “Art of Bonsai will never die and will keep the torch of peace burning troughout the world and propagating his vision of Bonsai no Kokoro”.

The deadline to book rooms at the Condado Plaza Hotel with the special price of the convention is June 17 2009.
